This piece is written specifically to exemplify the stereotypes found within standard high school choral music. The title is the product of the formula: "season + emotion + flowy word"; Fall Melancholy Dreams. The lyrics are vaguely autumn themed but don't hold much meaning, in fact, they're actually quite contradictory. There's an awkward coda at the end, complete with a rhythm change meant to confuse students-- as up until that point, all the rhythms have stayed consistent.
