An arrangement of the pop song Sweet Dreams (are Made of This) as recorded by the Eurythmics for string orchestra. The arrangement includes the score and parts around the Grade Level 1 1/2- 2. This score provides educational opportunities for young orchestras with specific concepts such as: whole ensemble matching bowings, key of D minor (good for introducing B and Fs), accent markings, accidentals (good for introducing concept and high 3rd finger for violins and violas), snapping part for violas, rests at the beginning of measures to practice waiting to play, octave jumps for cello and bass, and E string (could be introduction for violins). Tempo is flexible but should aim for the speed of the original song by the Eurythmics. The fadeout and slow down at the end was to example as if someone turned down the volume on the radio but also with a slow down for conducting purposes. While this is a great exercise for young orchestras to practice following a conductor, it is completely optional! This song by the Eurythmics was more recently used in the X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) movie with Quicksilvers scene. Hope you enjoy with your group!
