Probably the best known of Scott Joplins piano rags, The Entertainer was written in 1902. It was included on Joshua Rifkins famous 1970 revival recording of Joplins music and an orchestration featured on the soundtrack of the movie The Sting in 1973. This arrangement won an Oscar and reached No.3 on the US single charts.
This version has been arranged as a duet for one Flute and one Violin and includes all four sections of the original composition.
Musicians at an intermediate level and above will find this ideal for formal and informal performances. The overall performance time is around five minutes. The YouTube link is a full performance of the Clarinet version of this arrangement
