This is an arrangement for solo soprano saxophone, solo viola and studio strings of the beautiful Oscar nominated film score by Ennio Morricone. The movie is about a young teenage boy in a small Sicilian village who becomes infatuated with a beautiful woman. The irony is that the relationship only exists in his dreams. This is a transcription from the original soundtrack. The soprano saxophone part requires the soloist to be able to play a high E6 (F-sharp6 as written). An alternative option is for this part to be played on an oboe, transposed down a maj. 2nd to concert pitch.
