This is a Trio I composed in 3 hours in preparation for a recital the same night. The parts have been rehearsed with the appropriate instruments and the ensemble seems to work fantastically.This arrangement aims to act as a short but effective representation of the capabilities of this ensemble. I believe this arrangement adds a sense of intensity which I usually strive for when listening to the arrangement. Notes are added to this arrangement in response to the breif time we had to rehearse this. The trumpet and flute parts work fine, although the double bass part does require a decent amount of virtuosity, for example, when it comes to playing a short solo it is given, and, sometimes, leaps in accompanying parts can be difficult.
