This upbeat contemporary Easter song was inspired by a gregorian chant "O FILI ET FILIAE" , "O Sons and Daughters, Let Us Sing!" a popular hymn sung during the Easter season written by a french monk named Jean Tisserand back in 1492 and translated into English by John Mason Neale in the 19th century. It can be arranged for a full Choir with vocal soloists or a smaller combo group (piano, guitar, and percussion). It is recommended to have two soloists, each taking a verse 1, then 2 and then singing together verse 3 before the refrain. For example, the audio clip provides an idea for the choir to be singing "Hal-le-lu-jah" softly behind the soloists during the verses and then joining in during the refrain. Have some fun with the instrumental leading into the key change. Enjoy!
