This piece is more of an excerpt than a full length trio, it is full of intricate moving parts that fit well in an experienced ensemble. It begins in a major key regular staff octave for the 1st and 2nd parts while staying relatively low in the 3rd part staying in the range of below the staff D's and G's. As the song progresses it becomes more ominous as it takes a minor key, bringing the 3rd part lower to a 3rd octave D.
