This a cappella setting of the Lux Aeterna is very loosely based on the original chant from the Liber Usualis. Tonal but complex, both introspective and passionate, the texture alternates between chant, rich homophony, and canons. This music is approachable but deep, a concentrated expression of hope that I wrote on the death of a colleague's son.
