This is the fourth movement to the first string quartet in a series, which is inspired by works of art. This movement is named Allegro, and supports the whimsical affect that DD McInnes strives for in his art. His art depicts animals portraying different aspects of 17th, 18th and early 19th century paintings, and which have animals, including birds, invertebrates and insects taking the place of the human sitters.
