Waltz in C, Op. 18 is a short work for solo piano, which allowed me to experiment with various textures using two central themes. Polytonality, the use of multiple tonal centers simultaneously, and polymodality, the use of multiple modes simultaneously, are implemented. Furthermore, polystylism is also used to make the most out of the two themes.
