'Melodienschatz' (melodic treasury) was composed for solo clarinet for Ernst Thomas as a virtuoso work as a solo. The piece is also presented as a 'Journey' accompanied by Flute, Bassoon and Alto Saxophone which use music stands spread through out the audience. In this version the solo clarinet enters from the back of the hall and plays with each Journey instrument on his way to the stage and later exits by way of the same route. First performed by Justin Johnson clarinetist, and the ensemble CODE, the complete score with transposed parts is included here with the solo score, a work of about ten minutes.
