Composed as my submission to the Essentially Ellington Young Composers Competition, "Pineapple Tidbits" turned out very well. While one of my first large charts, it plays around with a fun theme and rhythmic hits capturing the delight of the namesake. Featuring a tenor sax solo and interluding piano solos, this work is a fun tune for any band. Regarding range, lead trumpet regularly plays high Ds and an optional F# at the conclusion of the piece; lead trombone plays several high Bbs.
