This is a collection of 9 of Bach's most wonderful themes. Some are arranged in 2 parts. Others are arranged as a melody with chords. The chords are notated and also shown as chord symbols. These pieces are notated on a keyboard tablature called a "key map." Key maps are filled with the colors of the rainbow and the staff is oriented vertically so that the notes match the finger movements on the keyboard. Notes for black keys are placed on the lines of the vertical staff which act as a timeline for the rhythm. Notes for white keys are attached to these lines.
Series 5FC - Five Finger Positions Colored. To make fingering of melodies easy to follow, each 5-finger group begins with a finger number and colored notes. Then successive 5-fingered groups are identified with contrasting colored notes. Notes not belonging in a 5-fingered group are white.
If you are unfamiliar with the beautiful key map notation, you may want to consider ordering our article describing how it works entitled: "Getting Started With Key Maps for the Piano". It contains an explanation of how key maps work and includes a number of examples. 16 pages. It is promotionally priced at only $1.99.
