Product Description

Canadian Christmas hymn written around 1642 by Jean de Brébeuf, a Jesuit missionary at Sainte-Marie living among the Hurons in Canada.  The original lyrics were written in the native language of the Huron/Wynadot people, who at the time were settled near present-day Lake Ontario.  The song's melody is based on a traditional folk song, "Une Jeune Pucelle."

This arrangement is for SATB a cappella.  The first verse is in the original Huron language, and the subsequent verses are in English.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
