Ballad is the second movement of the three movement work, Autumn Suite. This very expressive piece begins in a minor key with rolling triplets in the left hand and a soaring melody in the right. The middle section modulates to the relative major before returning to the minor key. There is a lot of right hand work in the last section with 3v4 rhythms followed by 2v3. The entire three movement work, Autumn Suite, is available here as well as the entire collection by the same name.
