This piece began as the third movement of a work composed for the faculty Brass Quintet at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. It's a lively piece with fast moving action in the outer sections for all parts; the middle section keeps up the active playing for trumpets and trombones while letting the horn sing the flowing melody in slower rhythm.
