Product Description

Yesusum, Yesusum, is a new rendition of an old Israeli folk tune. The text is taken from the Book of Prophet Isiah. The prophetic verses depict a blooming desert and a blossoming wilderness. The fulfillment of this prophecy has been witnessed with the miraculous development of agricultural life in Israels southern desert, the Negev. The current musical arrangement for mixed choir can be performed a cappella or with piano (or organ) accompaniment.

Hebrew Transliteration:

Yesusum Midbar Vetsiya,

Vetagel Arava,

Vetifrach Kachavatselet.

Ki Nivkeu Bamidbar Mayim

Unchalim Baarava.

Isiah, Chap. 35, Vers. 1, 6

English Translation:

The wilderness and the parched land shall be glad,

and the desert shall rejoice,

and blossom as the rose.

For in the wilderness shall waters break out,

and streams in the desert.

Isiah, Chap. 35, Vers. 1, 6
