"Of the Father's Love Begotten" is a Latin hymn, which was translated to English, about Jesus' incarnation and deity. The melody is a medieval plainsong called Divinum Mysterium (Divine Mystery). This version plays with counterpoint and different octaves using two violins, and contains four verses. It works great as a prelude, short offertory, or special music selection in a church service. It is easy to phrase, bow technique is easy, and only one upward shift is required.
