The Octatonic scale takes several roles and bounces back and forth between the pianists. It runs up and down the keyboards, becomes slow and mystical, becomes jazzy, and switches among all those ideas using recurring themes. It is loads of fun to play, and has many of the aspects that we pianists just love!!
