This fun little piece starts out with the opening motif from Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly - - then immediately spins off into a fugue with a party-like atmosphere. As each new voice comes in the others go off into their own conversations. The motif appears and disappears in Bach-like fashion before ultimately closing with a final fa-la-la-la-la, la-la, la, la! A great little addition to any holiday concert.

Originally arranged as a horn quartet, an optional 5th part was added to accommodate a novice hornist.
