This is a complex song using the rhythm of a Flamenco rumba but with a mixture of finger style and strumming, it will need time and patience to do it well. It uses well known coplas from traditional Spanish sources and is naturally about love but with some fairly pointed remarks like the copla that ends a shoe once worn, discarded, I never wear again. One of the best things about the Flamenco approach to lyrics - you are never tied down to just one version so you can change the song according to the mood youre in. This was first performed at the opening of the 2007 Croydon Jazz Festival.
