Arrangements of 12 sacred melodies from beloved traditional hymns, harmonized using interweaving counter melodies, rather than the traditional vocal intervals usually used in the church hymnals. Melody and counter melody change between Violin and Viola (Violin II) at times, while the Flute usually is playing a descant above the strings. The Violin II part doubles for the Viola, to be used when there are two Violins and no Viola. The violin part would also work well for oboe. Level is mostly early intermediate to intermediate, with the Flute parts having a bit less difficulty than the strings.
