Product Description
The composer wrote Fluye specifically for the piano pupils Haberdashers Askes College in London, where he is the piano teacher since 2010. It has been written bearing in mind the interest, musical taste and capabilities of nowadays teenager and adult piano beginners.
It is an ideal piece to first understand how the sustain pedal works as well as to improve it for those who already have been introduced to it. A fast ostinato in the left hand while a melody is played by the right hand gives an opportunity to control and play different dynamics in each hand to let the melody be heard and improve coordination skills.
The piece is written using the whole range of the keyboard and with a challenging but short texture which develops the proficiency of the player with little effort, thus making it very rewarding to perform. It is also an ideal piece for beginners who need to learn a piece for their GCSE solo piano performance quickly or to serve as a bridge to more advance classical repertoire.
