Product Description
This is an original arrangement for Piano, Guitar, Clarinet and Soloist (Alto Saxophone) of two Colombian Traditional Tunes: Campesina Santanderean and El Pereirano.
It's call "colada", which means "strained", casted, "mixed".
This is a 2 parts piece where the first, in 6/8, shows the traditional way of playing Bambuco, including some interesting passages for the guitar, and the clarinet; after a brigde of tonal modulations and rhythm changes, the second part, a Pasillo Fiestero, is very fast, "agitato", showing the richness of the Colombian folk music, mixture of African rhythmic patterns, European melodic and harmonic bases, with the fusion of the Native, indigenous expressiveness.
