Michael Woytiuk

Michael Woytiuk, Mmus. has had a long and varied career in his musical life.  Beginning teaching at 13 years old,
he was instructed to always teach with the positive,  "try something more like this"  and to avoid, "not like that!"
This lesson has been carried through and influenced many choices over the last 50 years as a musician.  The decision to put music first in his life really took off with a BMus. in piano at McGill University.  Subsequently, Michael continued piano studies under the guidance of Marc Durand concluding  with a Master's degree at the University of Montreal. Several years followed with performances on the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. and Radio Canada and touring as an accompanist.  Gradually teaching and leading music for church services balanced with his performing career. Writing arrangements for a church choir as well as arranging for his students became a daily occupation. Composing original songs and choral works has been the latest development in a constantly evolving music career.
