Nicolas Ernesto Cortes Castillo

Nicolás Cortés Castillo is a composer and tubist with a background in classical performance and music creation. He studied tuba at the University of Chile and the Conservatory of Parma, where he developed a strong foundation in both performance and composition.
His arrangements have been recorded by Ensamble Mapocho, demonstrating his ability to adapt and reimagine music for diverse ensembles. As a composer, his original work L’Agnizione was premiered by the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra in Parma, Italy, in 2024. Another of his compositions has been recorded by the Iberoamerican Ensemble on their debut album, highlighting his growing presence in the international music scene.
His work reflects a dedication to musical excellence and a deep understanding of instrumental music.
