Meri Dolevski

Meri Dolevski is a composer, arranger, private teacher, clarinetist, and pianist based out of Toronto, Canada. She lives with her husband of nearly 21 years Derrick Lewis (also an ArrangeMe member as a composer and arranger) and three cats. Besides music, she enjoys photography, which a few of her photos have won prizes in contests, reading, writing articles, playing a variety of games online and offline, and crafting various items from books and of her own creative ideas, sometimes including musical symbols within those creations. She has a wide variety of arrangements and compositions, many that include her primary instrument, clarinet, but also includes pieces for recorder, saxophone ensembles and string ensembles. Her favourite classical composer to arrange is JS Bach, which at least three different pieces in different arrangements are currently available as digital downloads.

Pre COVID, she performed regularly with the church choir as an alto when her husband was music director at a few churches in Toronto, which also held frequent concerts, both their own and the twice yearly student concerts. Just prior to meeting her husband, she made her debut as a professional performer on clarinet and E flat soprano clarinet in a production of Cabaret at the New Yorker theater in downtown Toronto with the production in late 2003 and then meeting her husband on Mozart's birthday in 2004. She is often in demand by local concert bands and symphony orchestras, although her main love is solo and chamber music which includes clarinet.

Within the greater Toronto area, she is known for producing students who earn first class honours, sometimes with distinction on Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto exams (RCM) with clarinet students, and her clarinet students are frequently accepted in high level ensembles in the greater Toronto area.

She holds certificates from the Royal Conservatory of Music in clarinet, piano, and theory. She was a regular staff member of Kidz Music camp from 2004-2014 assisting primarily with the woodwind ensemble which she both performed and conducted, but also keyboard and recorder ensembles.
