LUIS FLETES-SOZA

My first contact with music was through my mother. I've delighted myself with her soothing singing voice since I was a baby. I started playing piano and guitar at an early age and I wrote my first song when I was 12 and my first classical composition when I was 17. Music has always been my safe place. I'm a Nicaraguan-born-American-citizen now living in Las Vegas, Nevada, a place that I call home. Here I have been a teacher since 2010 and counting. I am an active musician and performer as well. I Graduated in Music with a Major in Composition at University of Costa Rica in 1996 where I also was a professor of Music harmony, Couterpoint and Techonology for Musicians. Later on, I performed as an Jazz pianist and Solo performer entertainer on cruise ships for about 7 years and this gave me an amazing overview of the world and also the chance to be in touch with other cultures, something I really enjoyed and learned so much from. My compositions have been performed in many places in the United States as well as places such as Portugal, Brazil, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Peru, Russia, Italy, Ukraine, Guatemala, Colombia, Spain and France, among others.
