Clive Longhurst

I was born in 1957, and still live in my native town of Horsham, West Sussex, UK.
My musical background started in our local brass band, at the age of 8 years, and in 1974 joined the Parachute Regiment as a musician in the 3rd Battalion band. It was during this time I was first introduced to conducting, and also basic music arranging.
I left the army in 1984, narrowly avoiding Kneller Hall ( the army school of music), moving back to Horsham and continuing my membership with the Horsham Borough Band. I later moved to the local Royal British Legion Band, where I had the privilege of conducting for around 10 years.
My hobbies include fishing, and American Football...GO BEARS!!
