John Ivor Holland

I've been composing and arranging for several years and won a British Composer Award in 2008 for a community-led chamber orchestra piece. My go-to ensemble is concert band, but have lots of experience with brass bands and orchestras, too. A large strand of my work is dedicated to expanding the visibility and accessibility of repertoire by women composers worldwide and to encourage further diversity. I mainly perform on percussion, but can also play most brass and woodwind interchangeably. As a conductor, I led Lambeth Wind Orchestra for almost 15 years and am called upon to lead local ensembles on an ad hoc basis.
