Steven Griffin
Steven Griffin is originally from Merthyr Tydfil in south Wales.  His musical journey began with singing in his local church choir and piano lessons from the choir director when he was 10, and has taken in a vast amount of experience as a choral scholar at Magdalen College, Oxford, a singer in opera and oratorio, playing bass guitar and drum kit in bands, and teaching pupils aged 5 to 18 in school.  Steven now lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he is Director of Music at George Watson's College.

Steven's main output is choral music, tying in with his experience as a choral and solo singer over many years.  Most of his arrangements are created for groups he directs: an adult community choir with a small number of men (SABar arrangements); or a choir boys with changing voices (Cambiata CCBar).

Steven won the inaugural 'Carol for Christmas' composition competition in 2012, run by Classic FM and The King's Singers.  His winning piece, A Hymn to the Virgin, was premered by The King's Singers and is published by Novello.
