Matthew D. Parunak

Matthew Parunak currently serves as the Co-Director of Bands at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, NC and serves on the Instructional Staff for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Marching Tar Heels. He is also a professional music arranger, brass teacher, and trombonist from Chapel Hill, NC. He serves as Music Director for Orquesta K’Che, a traditional Caribbean-style salsa band and holds the bass trombone seat in the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Tuba Performance in 2008 and his Master’s Degree in Arts and Teaching in 2009, both from UNC-Chapel Hill. As an active arranger and clinician, he has produced and arranged marching band shows since 2010 for bands all over the east coast, including North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, and Maryland.
