Matthias Held
ist  JazzPop SingerSongwriter (mit Dipl. Jazz-Gesangsstudium),  Vocal Coach,  Arrangeur
und B-Diplom sowie Master-Chorleiter für rhythmische und innovative Chormusik.

Seine Stationen qua Studium waren Maastricht, Arnhem/Enschede, die Bundesakademie für kulturelle Bildung Wolfenbüttel und Royal Academy of Music Aalborg/DK. 
Außerdem absolvierte er Masterclasses u.a. bei den New York Voices, Roger Treece, Judy Niemack, Matthias Becker und Mark Murphy.
Er sang bei renommierten Vokalensembles wie "Yellow and Green", "6-Zylinder", der Eigengründung "ADD ONE" und dem "Vokalorchester NRW", überall auch als Arrangeur und Komponist.  

Genau wie bei zahlreichen Chören  deren Leitung er seit 2002 innehatte.   Inclusive Auszeichnungen als Leistungs-  oder Konzertchor des Landes NRW (zuletzt für "Soundwerk e.V.", 2022)
Dazu kamen Duos und Trios im Bereich Musikkabarett.

Heute arbeitet Matthias Held mit seinen Chören „Phoenix Voices“ (Dortmund) „Soundwerk e.V.“ (Leverkusen) und "Upside down" (Oberbergischer Kreis) mit der Vocal Group "3andabox"
und seit 2020 solo mit den Programmen "SingSuche" (2020-23), "Db-tination" (seit 2023) - beide auch digital auf CD -
2025 läuft das Spezialprogramm "One, two, three - Tach zusammen!" zu Ehren von Mel Tormé und Hanns Dieter Hüsch (beide *1925)

Matthias Held
is a jazz-pop singer-songwriter (with a diploma in jazz vocal studies), vocal coach, arranger
and B-diploma as well as master choirmaster for rhythmic and innovative choral music.

He studied in Maastricht, Arnhem/Enschede, the Bundesakademie für kulturelle Bildung Wolfenbüttel and the Royal Academy of Music Aalborg/DK. 
He has also completed masterclasses with the New York Voices, Roger Treece, Judy Niemack, Matthias Becker and Mark Murphy, among others.
He has sung with renowned vocal ensembles such as “Yellow and Green”, “6-Zylinder”, the self-founded “ADD ONE” and the “Vokalorchester NRW”, also as an arranger and composer.  

Just as he has done with numerous choirs he has directed since 2002.   Including awards as a performance or concert choir of the state of NRW (most recently for “Soundwerk e.V.”, 2022)
He has also performed in music cabaret duos and trios.
