Paul William Stewart

Music has been the heartbeat of my life from a young age. From my early days singing in church choirs and listening to my father’s trumpet, to picking up the trumpet myself in 5th grade, I’ve been deeply immersed in music. My high school years at Cuyahoga Falls High School were a whirlwind of musical activity, with me participating in every available ensemble and performance group, which solidified my decision to pursue a career in music education.

I earned my Bachelor of Music in Education from The University of Akron, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2007, and further honed my skills with a Master of Music in Choral Conducting. My graduate studies, under the mentorship of Dr. Samuel Gordon, equipped me with the artistry and teaching expertise I needed.

My career began at West Geauga Local School District, where I navigated the challenges of my first teaching role and developed my unique teaching style. In 2015, I embraced a new opportunity as the vocal music teacher at Miller South School for the Visual and Performing Arts, a role that has allowed me to push my students to new heights and achieve notable successes.

Alongside teaching, I have an active professional singing career. Highlights include European tours with Singers Companye, performances at BLU Jazz+, and a recent appearance at the ACDA National Convention with the Cleveland Chamber Choir. My passion for music drives me to explore diverse genres and engage with audiences across northeast Ohio.
