1960 Born 20. December
1973 First attempts at composing for the brass band, of which he was also a member.
1977 – 1987 Director of a wind ensemble associated with the Evangelical Church. De Wit wrote all the arrangements and composition himself.
1979 – 1985 French Horn and Direction studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory.
1985 – 1988 Working as a freelance artist. Concert bugs, as a private brass teacher, conductor, composer and arranger.
1988 – 1991 studied school music in Utrecht Conservatory
1990 – 1994 Employed as music teacher at the Rudolf Steiner College, Rotterdam
1991 – 1994 Employed as music teacher at the St. Joseph Primary School, Schiedam
Since 1994 – Employed as music teacher at the Free Waldorf School in Kassel.
Since 1989 – many composing and arranging commissions for Concert Bands, choirs, clarinet ensembles, symphony orchestras, wind ensembles and soloists.
1996 - Nacht for SAB (Night)(Nacht ist wie ein stilles Meer) This work won first prize in the SAB Composition competition organized by Music Publisher Annie Bank
2013 - Active in the Kassel Composition Forum every year with premieres in collaboration with renowned ensembles
2023 - Composer and arranger of Tiefgang - The Bass Clarinet Collective
