Brad Jacobsen

Like many children who start taking piano lessons at a young age, Brad Jacobsen did not immediately enjoy or appreciate the instrument.  He preferred building forts in the woods with friends, telling scary stories around the fire, or brainstorming ideas for his next blockbuster, starring all his friends in the neighborhood.  As a teenager Brad “discovered” he could use the piano as a tool for emotional expression and creative storytelling, and soon experienced the joy of composing his own original pieces, inspired by contemporary piano artists such as George Winston, Jim Brickman and David Lanz, and drawing on his passion for nature and storytelling.  

As an official Kawai artist, Brad Jacobsen has released 11 albums of award-winning solo piano music, garnering over 200 million streams across Pandora, Spotify and other streaming platforms. All of his recorded compositions and arrangements are available in note-for-note transcriptions.
